Sending an empty email:  When you send your application, endeavor you proofread it to know if you sent the required document needed for the job. Also don’t just send your CV and your cover letter alone, but  write a brief statement  stating your interest in the job. This will leave a lasting impression on the recruiters mind.

Avoid grammatical errors: Before you  submit your application, ensure you go through it, to correct every errors.This is very vital to do, But we all fail to do this. A single grammatical error can make you lose your dream job in the corporate world. This is one area the Hiring Manager takes seriously.

Applying for the role you are unqualified : Sometimes, you might lose interest in going for what you are passionate about and start to apply for another job role. Yes! This has happened to most of us. Take for instance, if a job description ask for a prior knowledge in human resources, and you apply for the job without having any knowledge on it, your CV will be overlooked and discarded by the HR

Incorrect information : Most people don’t send correct information while applying for a job. If you don’t, it can deprive you from landing your dream. Endeavor that your personal details which includes your name, address, phone number and email are detailed and correct. 

Not writing your name on your CV : Most of the time, some people forget to write their names on their CV when sending their job application. If you avoid writing your name the HR might lose interest at a glance on your CV.This is another minor mistake that should be avoided.

Copying the template on the internet: There are several templates online that serve as a guide for your CV, but some people plagiarize, without even editing anything on it. Make your CV distinct, and engaging. Hiring Managers don’t want to read a CV that is boring or dull. If you can, design your CV to fit with the company.

Avoid  lying: There is a lot of competition when it comes to having the best CV and submitting your application, but that doesn’t mean you should lie in your application. If you do , when you get to the interview, you might not be able to defend yourself which can ward you off from the job.
